Your right as a California resident

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This page explains that right and how to exercise it.

1. Do we sell your personal information?

Honey Badger LLC does not sell your personal information for money. We do not transfer your data to third parties in exchange for monetary payment.

However, under the CCPA/CPRA, the term "sharing" includes disclosing personal information to third-party advertising platforms — such as Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, Microsoft Bing, and TikTok — that use it to serve you targeted advertisements on other websites. This type of sharing is subject to the same opt-out right as a traditional data sale.

The personal information that may be "shared" in this sense includes:

• Device identifiers (browser ID, advertising ID, cookie values)
• IP address and approximate location
• Browsing behavior on our Site (pages viewed, products viewed, cart activity)
• Purchase history and transaction data
• Email address (used to create custom or lookalike advertising audiences)

This sharing occurs through advertising and retargeting pixels set by these platforms on our Site. You can opt out of this sharing at any time using the form below.

2. Submit your opt-out request

How to submit your request

Complete the form below and submit it to privacy@drinkhoneybadger.com. We will process your request within 15 business days and confirm by email. Your opt-out preference will be honored for at least 12 months.

3. What happens after you opt out?

Once we receive and verify your opt-out request, we will:

15 business days: Process your request and send you a confirmation email

Immediately upon confirmation: Stop sharing your personal information with third-party advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising

✓

Within 15 business days: Instruct our advertising platform vendors (Google, Meta, Bing, TikTok) to suppress use of your data for ad targeting

✓

12 months minimum: Honor your opt-out preference — we will not ask you to re-authorize sharing for at least 12 months

✓

Ongoing: Continue to share data necessary to process your orders, maintain your account, and provide customer support — these operational uses are not affected by your opt-out

Important: Opting out of sharing for advertising purposes does not affect our ability to share your information with service providers who process data on our behalf (such as Shopify for order processing or our SMS platform for cart reminders). Those disclosures are necessary to operate the Site and fulfill your orders.

4. We will not discriminate against you

Honey Badger LLC will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA privacy rights. Specifically, we will not:

• Deny you goods or services
• Charge you different prices or rates
• Provide a different level of quality of goods or services
• Suggest that you will receive a different price, rate, or quality level

Your opt-out preference will not affect your ability to make purchases, use your account, access your order history, participate in our rewards program, or receive non-advertising communications such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

5. Your full CCPA/CPRA rights

Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable, usable format.

Right to non-discrimination

Exercise any of these rights without being denied goods, services, or a different price or quality level.

Response timeline: We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. We may extend this by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with prior notice. We will not charge a fee for your first request in any 12-month period.

6. Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To do so, the authorized agent must provide:

• Written authorization signed by you, or
• A valid power of attorney

We may contact you directly to verify the request even when an authorized agent submits it. We will not process a request from an agent who cannot provide proof of authorization.

7. How we verify your identity

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access, deletion, or modification, we are required to verify your identity before processing your request. We will match the information you provide against the information in our records.

For opt-out requests, we require:

• Your email address and/or phone number on file, AND
• Your order number or the zip code on your account

For requests to know, delete, or correct personal information, we may require additional verification steps depending on the sensitivity of the information requested. We will not use information collected for verification for any other purpose.

If we cannot verify your identity, we will notify you and explain what additional information is needed. We will not deny your request solely because you declined to provide more information than is necessary for verification.
